The Mains Network

The mains gas network covers the major population centres of the island.

If there isn’t an existing gas service to your property, connecting to the gas mains is simple and without major disruption and if you are proposing to install a gas central heating boiler the gas service will be provided at NO COST.

All mains gas services have a gas meter installed whether your appliance is a cooker, fire, water heater or central heating boiler.

Meters are normally read and gas accounts sent on a quarterly basis.

Beyond the Mains

If you live beyond the mains gas network there are several convenient ways you can still benefit from the advantages of gas.

Cylinders

Beyond the gas mains cylinders are used to supply gas whether your appliance(s) is a cooker, fire, water heater or central heating boiler. If you are proposing to install a gas central heating boiler a metered bottle bank installation will be provided at NO COST.

Meters are normally read and gas accounts sent on a quarterly basis. (Gas is charged at the same unit cost as a mains gas supply when used for central heating).

Mini Tanks

For larger users and central heating customers, who have the space, a mini tank will provide an uninterruptible supply of gas for all your heating and cooking needs.

Delivery

Gas provides a free scheduled cylinder delivery and tank top-up service for larger users and central heating customers so you don’t even need to phone us.

With free scheduled deliveries, Gas is a convenient fuel wherever you are on the island.

Reconnecting

If the gas supply to your property was isolated at the gas meter tap when the previous occupier vacated the property, simply contact our Accounts Department on 724811 to arrange for the gas supply to be re-introduced.
